"Without counsel plans fail, but with advisords they succeed."
--Proverbs 15:22
As I'm sure you know, our Catholic institutions were blessed for many years with a "Living Endowment" of sisters, priests and brothers. Through their lifelong service and contributions, they "endowed" our Catholic institution.
Today, Catholic institutions are challenged to provide even greater educational and ministerial programs with annual budgets growing larger and larger.
Meeting those needs requires financial resources.
Traditionally, our support has come from annual appeals, offertory income, campaigns, fundraising and most recently from professional development program efforts.
For the most part, the source of this support has come from donors' "incomes" rather than their "assets."
In short, the future of our Catholic institutions lies in educating our Catholic community to give from their assets through the concept of Planned Giving.
The future, without Planned Giving, will not allow us to rely on endowment and major gift income when needed.
Planned Giving will provide our Catholic schools, parishes, dioceses, seminaries, religious communities and agencies with a confidence for the future.
As individuals, we all have "checking accounts" and "savings accounts." Too often, our Catholic institutions exist only on their "checking accounts." Endowments and major gifts through Planned Giving will build up our future "savings accounts" for Catholic parishes, schools, dioceses, seminaries and religious communities that are so important to the future.
Demographics now predict that 11 to 17 trillion dollars will pass between the generations in the next 10 years.
Professional Planned Giving programs have been successfully employed by colleges, universities and hospitals for many years. They have received major gifts from some of our own Catholic donors who would be likely to consider Planned Gifts for our institutions if we had our own Planned Giving program in place.
We approach this work as a Ministry of Planned Giving. Your attendance can begin or advance your Planned Giving program by working with a nationally recognized faculty. Each and every one of us on the faculty enjoys particular pride in taking a vested interest in you as a participant through the three day program and, hopefully, beyond.
It will be my distinct privilege to welcome you, personally, to the NATIONAL CATHOLIC PLANNED GIVING SEMINAR with spectacular Hilton Hotel accommodations in Phoenix AZ, in 2025. If you have any questions or need further information, please call us TOLL FREE 1-800-426-8198. See you in Phoenix.
